At the local Japanese

This would have been a nice photo if only J hadn't decided to poke his tongue out at the last moment... Posted by Hello

K's pregnant !

It's official - K's pregnant. There was no heartbeat when this image was taken but the next week there was. It was a nervous wait for us, especially for K.
I took a photo because these images fade after a while. The ones we had of J are completely white now. Posted by Hello

This cat is not happy.

Eight pages of amusing feline pics can be seen at the
Amazing cat collection.
One of my favourites is the partially shaved cat on page 8. He is not pleased.

file magazine : a collection of unexpected photography

I am just posting this as a test. I have a new function on my computer which allows me to right click on a webpage that I like and then select "Just Blog It" to put the link in my blog. Pretty handy. This particular lnik is great. Browse through the galleries - plenty of interesting photos for creative inspiration......

The Terrible Trio - upon closer inspection

Here's a cropped version of that photo I posted last week. Posted by Hello

Graffiti near art museum

I suppose if you are going to do graffiti, you may as well do a good job of it. This is near the art museum which is open again. Posted by Hello

Thirsty plant

It looks like this plant has grabbed the hose and is hoping that its owner will take the hint. Posted by Hello

Moon festival

Things just getting underway on the street outside Mr. Hong's tui-na place. Posted by Hello

Moon festival was also Mr Hong's birthday

Moon Festival happened to fall on the same day as Teacher's Day this year and it was also Mr. Hong's birthday so we all got to stuff our faces with ice cream cake. The tui-na therapy room on the first floor became a temporary kids play room and cake scoffing area. Posted by Hello

Moon festival sparkler

I can't believe I forgot to put up some pictures from the Moon Festival celebration. When we got back from the bash at K's Tui-na place, many of our neighbours were still merrily barbecueing away and they invited us to join them.  Posted by Hello

Making OJ

With J's help (where's Superman when you need him?) we eventually squuezed ourselves two and a half litres of juice and we only used maybe about a third of the oranges. Posted by Hello

Sqeeeeeeeze ! Posted by Hello

Awash with oranges

Oranges are very cheap at the moment. These small, thin-skinned oranges are very sweet. This little lot swimming about in our bathtub only cost NT$100.  Posted by Hello

Bugs on the windscreen

And staying with the insect theme we came across these beasts drying out in the midday sun which was also near that Japanese restaurant. A special ingredient being prepared perhaps? Posted by Hello

Wasp nest

One of the houses along our street is being decorated and we stopped by on our way back from the new Japanese restaurant that's opened nearby to have a look. I spotted this wasp nest which one of the workers assured me was abandoned. The workers let us into the house to have a look around and I snapped this pic by opening the window and sticking my camera around the corner. Posted by Hello

We went to Chi-Chi on Sunday and went to a small park which has a small collection of "old stuff" and some props for kids to play with. Posted by Hello
